Board Members
The current membership of the board
The National Aerospace NDT Board of Australia is not the Australian Aerospace NDT Committee by another name. Despite the small size of this country's aviation NDT community, more than half of the Board's members were not previously involved with the AANDTC. The role of this group is quite different. It has formal recognition by the Regulator, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and is based on a de facto international standard, EN4179/NAS 410. The Australian equivalent standard AS 3669 now reflects those requirements and hence brings Australia into line with most of the rest of the world. Work has already commenced in developing a priority of projects to enable the Board to fulfil its obligations to CASA and to industry.
In addition to those listed above, the Australian Air Force and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority have observers on the Board. They are a valuable resource and are included in similar capacities on other NANDTBs.
