Membership
2008 election of Board members
All Board members' terms expire in March 2008.
Voting to elect Board members
March 2008
Voting has now closed.
Each aerospace company with a discrete ARN number, and which uses NDT or contracts NDT services, may vote to elect members to the Board.
There are six categories to vote in, but only one vote per category is allowed.
Nominations
Those who would wish to nominate for a position on the Board should first read the following procedures:
- NA-003 Membership,
- NA-004 Rules of Governance,
- NA-008 Electoral Procedure and
- NA-010 Members Agreement
These will provide answers to most of the questions a nominee may have. Nominations are to be made in accordance with the Board Procedure NA-008.
Nominations and any inquires should be sent to the secretary by email or posted to Colin Hockings, QS&RM, SAB2/8, Qantas, Mascot NSW 2020. Current members who wish to offer themselves for another term should submit their intentions to the secretary before that time.
Those considering nominating for the Board should understand that all positions are honorary and the Board receives no funding. Any expenses related to attendance at meetings or the preparation of Board documents are the responsibility of individual members. It is also worth noting that there is a full agenda of work to be progressed during the next two years.
The Board acknowledges the time and expense to individuals and companies to attend a meeting to elect the Board, so this election process will be conducted using the NANDTB web site. This innovation should eliminate those costs whilst allowing a maximum number of eligible aerospace companies to participate. Voting instructions are shown below and there will be a link to a voting form after 1 February 2008.
Representation on the Board
The NANDTB Membership Procedure allows for 12 full members who form a proportional representation of the various sectors in Australian aerospace which use NDT.
The representation is:
- Manufacturers - Maximum 3
- Training organisations - Maximum 3
- Major airlines - Maximum 2
- Regional airlines - Maximum 2
- Maintenance and Repair Organisations / NDT service providers - Maximum 3
- General aviation operators - Maximum 2
- Others - 1
